This Thursday the official program of the Microbiome Forum will be announced

It has been divided into three thematic blocks that address the latest developments in the use of microorganisms in agriculture, both in the fight against pests and diseases and in their contribution to the health and fertility of the soil.

Ms. Esther Ngumb, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois, joins, together with Francisco Javier del Águila, Ms. Nuria Banyuls and Miguel Ángel Díez, the great cast of speakers at the Forum.

The technical program of the I Microbiome Forum is practically finalized, and it will be made public next Thursday, May 2, through the official website of the event microbioma.es.

The thematic blocks on which the 30 presentations that will take place during the two technical conferences, which will be carried out by professionals of recognized prestige from all over the world, have already been established.

The program has been divided into four thematic blocks divided into two days that will take place on May 29 and 30, beginning on Wednesday 29 with the one dedicated to current legislation regarding the use of microorganisms in agriculture, both in Europe as in Spanish, regarding its registration and use.

Already entering the strictly technical content, that same day there will be a second block focused on microorganisms as a tool for the control of pests and diseases, where innovative studies in this regard will be addressed, such as issues related to the knowledge of the soil microbiota for the application of microorganisms in the fight against nematodes and fungi, new uses of microbiological control agents, as well as new threats to our agriculture from insect vectors of emerging diseases.

On Thursday, May 30, the third block will focus on biostimulants of microbial origin, which will include scientific and technical aspects in the formulation of agrobiological, bioconductive and biostimulant products, as well as the defense mechanisms in plants due to beneficial soil fungi, among others.

Finally, the block dedicated to fertilizers of microbial origin will focus on soil health, optimization of nutritional efficiency, abiotic stress, etc., all of which will be dealt with from the practical point of view of the use of agrobiotechnology as an ally for the improvement of crops, which will be precisely the title of one of the presentations.

Registration to attend the Forum is still open until the capacity is covered on the microbioma.es website: INSCRIPTION
