Juan Rodr\u00edguez will illustrate the latest advances in research on the interactions between baculoviruses and their hosts, which has led to the development of new viral isolates with high efficacy, persistence and pathogenicity for the control of key pests in crops. vegetables such as Helicoverpa armigera, Spodoptera exigua or more recently Tuta absoluta.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thus, new opportunities are opened in the integrated control of horticultural pests, obtaining efficiencies similar to last generation synthetic molecules, without increasing the residue load and without any risk of affecting auxiliary fauna.
